West Lindsey Home Choice is the new housing system operating within West Lindsey. This website will allow people to apply for social rented housing within West Lindsey or look at the different options available to them.
You can apply for the housing register or advice and assistance with housing via this website in the "Apply here" section https://unity.homeconnections.org.uk/SharedPartnerOLR/Welcome.aspx?pid=118. Once you have entered your details the Home Choices team will endeavour to make contact within 3 working days if this is required to discuss your situation in more detail.

Most of our properties will require 4 weeks rent in advance before you are able to move into a property, whilst the Home Choices team may be able to assist you will need to be aware that you will need to pay some money towards moving into a property. A tenancy reference, proof of current address and a form of identification will also be needed to be eligible for a property.
Registered applicants will be able to bid by logging into their account via this website and clicking ‘Login’. Applicants will be able to bid for properties that they are eligible for by clicking ‘Place Bid’.

Officers will refer customers to either complete a housing advice or housing register application via this website if the customer can do this. This will enable the team to dedicate time to looking at actions and working towards solutions to resolve housing issues. Completing this with an officer either by phone or in person could take up to 90 minutes so please be prepared.
Once the bidding cycle closes on Tuesday at midnight, applicants and properties are shortlisted on Wednesday. Once the Home Choices team have shortlisted the properties, the housing association who own the property will be in touch with the shortlisted applicant.
Bidding cycles run from Tuesday 00:00 to the following Monday 00:00 every week. If we need to change this for any reason e.g. Bank holidays, Christmas periods, we will make housing providers aware via email and alert customers via social media and our website.
Once the bidding cycle has ended, you will be able to check you position of bidding by logging into your account. All bidders will be shortlisted on Tuesday at 12pm following the closure of the bidding cycle. We are encouraging housing providers to contact the first placed shortlisted applicants by Friday of the same week (other shortlisted bidders may not be contacted). The first shortlisted applicants will be offered viewing, these may be block viewings.

New applications can take up to 6 weeks to process and you will receive a letter or email to advise when the application is live and you can start to bid.
